We live in a world bombarded with images of all kinds and of all purposes, each individual interprets them in his/her own way. James Joyce in Portrait of an Artist as a Young Man spoke of aesthetic arrest, Joseph Campbell expound upon it more. “That being the moment when one is confronted by a specific image and there is that pause, the breath stops, everything stops, the image speaks, it is universal, no matter what it's medium or how it was created, the image speaks with a universal voice and carries a universal message. Esthetic Arrest, that moment of ............awe!”
My medium is photography, and now with the computer the avenues of expression are endless. I do not believe it matters how an image is made, what does matter is what the image says...........to you!
